Bed Cover from Rhydygwystl Factory, Llŷn

A bed cover made in Rhydygwystl Wollen Mill, near Ffôr, Llŷn. The mill was operational from the beginning of the 19th century and closed in 1936, the last woollen mill to close in Llŷn. This bedcover used to belong to the late John Roberts, Y Groeslon, past organiser of the National Eisteddfod who died in 2016 at the age of 100. He was brought up by his grandmother in Llangian and this bedcover is likely to have been used by him when he was a child.
